MHA asks States to ensure safety of Kashmiri students

As reports of attack on Kashmiri students emerged from several places, Home Ministry asked all States to take necessary measures to ensure their safety and security.

Kashmiri residents were targeted in several places to protest against the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in a terrorist attack in Pulwama on February 14.

“There have been some reports of students and other residents of J&K experiencing threats and intimidation in the wake of terrorist attack in Pulwama,” Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said in an advisory to States.

The shops of some shawl traders in Patna was vandalised by a mob wielding lathis.
