India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) has announced a seven per cent price hike on select motorcycle models in the country. The revised price list for the bikes will be effective from April 1, 2019.
“IKM strives hard to keep the price of its models very competitive in the India market,” said Kawasaki India. However, the company has held increasing costs of raw materials and fluctuations in foreign exchange rates accountable for the price hike.
IKM has recently launched two models named Versys 1000 and Ninja ZX-6R and is yet to mention the models that will receive the price hike.
In the Indian market, Kawasaki currently offers 29 different bikes ranging from super-sport to off-road and naked models. Prices start at Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Ninja 300 and go up to a whopping Rs 72 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Ninja H2R.
