THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet which convened here Thursday decided to declare four districts of the state as red zone. A decision has been taken to direct centre to bring in changes in the red zone districts. The cabinet reviewed that only four districts with more spread of the disease be brought in the red zone. Districts like Kasargod, Kannur, Malappuram and Kozhikode will be included in the red zone.
The changes were brought in zones considering the level of the spread of the disease. The ccabinet meeting suggested that Wayanad and Kottayam be changed to green zone. Other eight districts will be included in the orange zone.
If the centre approves the proposals of the state, it will declare these districts in the corresponding zones.
