Customs slueths seize 5-kg gold at airport

More than 5 kg of gold was seized in different operations at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery on Monday.
Customs Commissioner Sumit Kumar said that Customs officials had busted six gold smuggling attempts and also arrested a Sri Lankan national at the airport. The biggest seizure involved 11 gold bars, which weighted more than 2 kg. The gold was seized from a flight that arrived from Riyadh.
