Avan Motors India launched electric scooter Trend E on Friday here at BV Tech Expo India 2019 at Rs 56,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) with a single-battery option. The double-battery variant comes at Rs 81,269 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The electric scooter available in three color schemes — Red-Black, Black-Red and White-Blue — is powered by a lithium-ion battery. While the top speed is capped at just 45kmph, Trend E can cover 60kms on a single charge via a single battery. On the other hand, the double battery variant has a range of 110kms. As per company claims, it takes four hours to completely charge the battery.
Features on this scooter include short backrest for pillion, utility space under the seat and front panel, bottle holder, a ‘smart key’ that includes car-like lock option and a comfortable smooth-textured seat.
The scooter, shod with alloy wheels, is suspended over front hydraulic telescopic forks and rear coil spring. Disc brakes on the front and rear on the rear ends offer the braking strength. The scooter can carry a maximum load of 150kg.
“The Avan Motors team has worked extensively on creating the Trend E scooter as a vehicle that is suitable for Indian roads and meets the requirements of consumers with its combination of technology, power and futuristic design,” said Pankaj Tiwari, business development head, Avan Motors.
Trend E would compete against the likes of Hero Electric NYX, Rs 41,946 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and Okinawa Praise, Rs 60,094 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
